1. What Frase Cards is

Frase Cards is a language-learning app that generates AI-powered example sentences to help you learn vocabulary and grammar in real context, using spaced repetition to schedule your reviews.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure, and for anything that happens under your account. One account per person.

3. Trials and subscriptions

New accounts get a 30-day free trial, no payment card required, capped at 20 words added in total, 5 words a day, and one language at a time — whichever limit is reached first. Once your trial ends, you can continue reviewing everything you've already added for free, indefinitely. Sentences you've already mastered will pause there rather than continuing to grow into harder versions — this resumes automatically as soon as you subscribe. Adding new words, or switching to a different language, requires a paid subscription.

We're still finalizing our payment system. Pricing and payment will be clearly shown before you're ever asked to pay for anything — nothing is charged automatically or without your knowledge.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the app to generate, submit, or store illegal, abusive, or harmful content. Don't attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse our systems (including automated or excessive use of the AI generation features beyond normal personal use). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this.

5. AI-generated content

Example sentences are generated by AI and checked by an automated verification process for grammatical accuracy and natural phrasing. We take this seriously and it's a core part of how the app works — but AI-generated content can occasionally still be wrong, and we can't guarantee absolute perfection. If you spot something incorrect, we'd genuinely like to know — you can report it directly from Settings.

6. Your content and our content

You keep any rights to the words and phrases you personally choose to add. We own the app itself — its design, code, and branding — and you don't get any rights to that just by using the service.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, yourself, from Settings — this is immediate and permanent. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. No warranty, limited liability

The app is provided "as is." We work hard to make it reliable and accurate, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes to these terms

If we make meaningful changes to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
